DOWNEY FARM STABLE a full board facility located in the heart of horse country in North Saanich. We take pride in offering matted 10 x 12 walk in/out shelters located in mud free extremely large paddocks. Your horse will also be turned out daily on individual pasture with loads of excellent grazing. Pastures are seasonal. Board will Include 3 feeds per day at 8 A.M. 2 P.M. and 8 P.M. We offer lovely imported orchard/ timothy grass hay containing 15% alfalfa or quality local hay. Analysis of hays available. Horse pellets and supplements are your cost .....we will feed. Indoor and outdoor arenas harrowed and watered as needed. Sand 50 foot round pen. Heated tack room. All year round cool out chip trails located on property. Well kept safe, relaxed, friendly barn that sends out calming vibes sensed by horses immediately upon their arrival . Suitable for all types of riding. Excellent daily care given to horses boarded with us by experienced horse people. Current full board is $650/ month and self board $500/month.
FARM HELP
DUTIES INCLUDE FEEDING HORSES HAY AND GRAIN, TURNOUT AND TURN IN OF HORSES, CLEANING STALLS AND WATER TUBS, TIDYING OF BARNS AND GENERAL FARM MAINTENANCE. HOURS ARE FLEXIBLE 8 AM-11 AM OR 12 PM TO 3 PM. PAY IS $45 FOR THE 3 HOUR SHIFT. MUST HAVE PRIOR HORSE EXPERIENCE.
