This is special.
It is a 1951 Raleigh Lenton Sports with Reynolds 531 tubing.
It has the smallest oldest Reynolds 531 decal I have seen. The decal is placed near the top of the downtube.
The bike was originally a 3 speed with a Sturmey Archer hub and shifter but has had a very cool period addition. There are two rear sprockets with a very old metal (not the usual nylon) Simplex rear derailleur. This is operated by the metal Simplex shift lever on the downtube, so this is now a 6 speed bike.
The bike is very complete and everything is moving and appears to be working. I believe, with just a pair of new tires, you could enjoy riding this beautiful antique/classic Raleigh.
The whole thing is topped off with a Brooks leather saddle.
