Saijo
An astringent variety of persimmon meaning that it is ripe when it has been left to soften and skin is dull-yellow and translucent. Flavour is sweet, excellent, ranked among the best by gourmets. Mature fruits are attractive when dried. Tree is also noted as a great specimen tree for landscapes.
Tree medium in height 15'-20' tall and wide; self fertile; hardy from zone 6 to 9, bears consistently. Cold hardy to -23°C ( -10° F).
These trees are in 1 gallon pots, and are 2 feet tall, and some actually have flower buds at this early stage.
