The very same hot pepper used in Asian cooking, the Sezchuan Pepper tree (Zanthoxylum simulans) and Japanese Pepper (Zanthoxylum pieritum) makes peppercorns that you grind.
Sichuan - They are hardy to minus 20C, are partially self fertile, so we suggest buying as a pair.
Japanese - need at least two.
The grow 8 to 10 feet tall. Our own personal trees produced peppercorns in year two... and WOW are they hot!
