2003 VW Golf TDI. Well maintained, but currently needs the TPS replaced, which we have a quote for $700 to do- could be a bit less elsewhere if you called around- we just don’t actually need two cars so don’t want to bother. Our loss is your gain as this is a great opportunity to scoop up a TDI that will run forever with amazing fuel economy for a great price. Runs fine 90% of the time, the TPS issue manifests itself by going into limp mode where the car stops accelerating, but can be gotten around by simply putting it in neutral, restarting it, and continuing on your way. Code thrown is for the TPS, so the repair would remedy this.
Also has one glow plug that only functions intermittently, but no issues with starting even in the coldest weather and the shop has told us this isn’t a concern. The other three were replaced recently.
New clutch as of March.
New battery and two new tires as of a couple weeks ago.
Well cared for, regular maintenance.
Great a/c.
Heats up fast.
Heated seats.
Sunroof.
Great factory sound system.
Super roomy trunk.
Seats fold down.
Fun to drive.
Super comfortable.
Goes forever on a tank of diesel.
